Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Harikoa Service is excited to announce two openings for energetic and creative Support Workers in Aidenfield. We support a vibrant group of young women: Kelly, Rachel, Tracy, and Shelly. Who are all passionate about activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, swimming, singing, dancing, and shopping at malls or markets.
We are seeking experienced individuals who can bring enthusiasm and creativity to support these young women in their various interests and passions. We have two positions available: one for day shifts and one for night shifts, both offering desirable hours.
In the day position, you will engage in activities like swimming and exercise, providing support and companionship, as well as assisting with day-to-day duties. For the night position, you will support nightly routines, monitor diabetes levels for one of the ladies, complete house duties, and assist with morning routines.
You will be energetic, empathetic and able to work alongside this person focussing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting and extending people’s ability to access and be part of their wider community. If you are looking for a new challenge this could be the opportunity for you.
This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.

Position 1
- Wednesday to Saturday 7am to 3pm / 64 hours per fortnight
Position 2
- Wednesday to Saturday 11pm to 7am / 64 hours per fortnight
