Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Tasman House is located in Westmorland and is home to Susan who is in her 60's and is looking for a Support Worker to work alongside her.  

Susan who enjoys many activities in the community such as arts and crafts, visiting local markets, horse riding and volunteering. Susan enjoys helping with cooking by preparing the vegetables and helping with the house chores. It is important for Susan to have a routine in place and consistency and being aware of any upcoming events in the community as she enjoys being apart the events!

You will be energetic, empathetic and able to work alongside this person focussing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space.  Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting and extending people’s ability to access and be part of their wider community. If you are looking for a new challenge this could be the opportunity for you. 

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.

• Wednesday to Friday 9am to 4pm
